Sunday Thoughts - Good Busy with Forever in Mind

Good Morning Friends,

I trust you are well. I can't believe how week on week, this letter writing feels more sacred. In a good and bad way, which I'll allude to through writing to you today. I'm spending any creative time I have at the moment reflecting and diagnosing the theme of 2025 so far - Living Fully.

From what I have so far, the more obvious it becomes. This could be encouraging for you or fill you with despair. As the eternal optimist, I choose the former. How I would best describe living fully at this moment in time would be like when life gives you lessons. We may live new experiences throughout our lives, yet the same lessons crop up trying to teach us or give us opportunities.

I'm finding living fully at the moment is like being in cruise control on a road trip. You take stops at places you like (the beach, a small town, stopping at places to visit friends) but for the majority of it you're living normally; in routine, keeping your life ticking over and in order. Your cruising and stable but in control.

There's something that will always be impressive about a car moving relatively quickly yet in complete control. It might be the aesthetics of how the car looks whilst doing it, it may be the ease it does it at. All of these things may be what we should aim for whilst living. A car that can do this is one that's well looked after and topped up with gas. When was the last time you had a service?

I'll ease off on the car metaphor for now but I hope it creates a sense of hope for what living fully could look like for you. You may not even be in the car yet!

I'm in a place where good busy is a pleasant way of living just now. Like life works in ebbs and flows, I'm embracing this with the end in mind. There's nothing worse than being relentlessly busy with no rest bite. But what about doing so where it gives us more energy? That plan you have is a source of uplifting rather than draining. It's not overly disruptive nor overwhelming. It's just what you need to continue along the vibrancy of your existence.

Yes, there are times in life to hibernate but we should celebrate both when it's their time to shine. My encouragement to you this morning is to embrace the healthy busyness of life. Is it your perspective that could help? Or do you need to be more ruthless and selfish with what matters to you and makes you feel alive? Nobody has enough time in their life, so why on earth would you spend it doing things that don't meet those requirements?

Have a wonderful rest of your Sunday and send me any updates of where you are in the world!

Best,

Lawrence

Good Morning Friends! I trust you're well. Today marks 5 years since I started this project, and in that regard, adds to the significance of today's letter. It all started with an old Mac, a headset, and a desire to share. This project has given me more than I could have imagined, and then some more. I never thought I'd connect with so many people around the world. Nor reach the depths of creativity I have. I'm saying this through pure joy, yet I'll never be able to put a price on the...

Good Morning Friends, I hope you're well. We're well into May now, and I'm truly basking in the greenness of the forest I see on the horizon each morning. I've been considering the relationship between time and meaningfulness this week, as I find spare time more fleeting yet moments more memorable. Time has become more of a commodity over recent years, yet the more you get is like money: there's no point in having so much if you don't do anything meaningful with it. We all think we want more...

Good Morning Friends, I trust you're well. To start, I'd love to ask, ' How do you live fully?' I'm leaving it open-ended as I try to expand my own awareness of what it means. I've found living presently with intention pre-child was a tool for being more fulfilled with life, yet post-child, you have no choice; you will live presently! Are there more levels? Does it just continue to evolve? Does it heighten the experience of simpler things? Does it allow you to be more ruthless when...
