Sunday Thoughts - Be Busy Living

Good morning friends,

I write to you after a week away from real life. We took our wee one away for his first trip abroad and it was magical. The moments of joy we had will be tough to top at this stage and like anything in life, these moments are sacred because they pass.

I could write about living presently or being grateful in this vein yet I'm going to go down a slightly different path today all about busyness.

For years, I talked about the desire for peace and quiet for the rest of my life. This was the end goal. Yet something is shifting. Like picking up a book at the right time in your life, this feels like one of those times. As I open each new door for Living Fully, I find things I perhaps didn't expect. Especially when looking back at my former self.

Whilst I now have all the tools and awareness for peace and quiet, I have now stumbled upon the joy of living. Living fully means being busy. Busy in the most positive way possible. The demands of life from things you want to do. Resting so well and deeply because the stress of life only comes from things you've created in your life through love.

Yes, you may desire downtime, solitude or an empty schedule but the best part about your movie is the story you create. Living should be full of things you want to do. We live in a time where most of these things exist. There certainly hasn't been a better point in humanity so far.

It's important to not confuse this with keeping up with the Joneses and doing things mimetically. This is your life. It should be full of things you want to do. Not selfishly, include others who matter to you in the things that bring you joy. But life should be full, not empty. Watch out for time flying by in the most beautiful way.

As my life naturally evolves, I'm finding things grow, some dissipate and some maintain. From a creative perspective, I almost ran out of time for today's letter because I was busy living. But this is in the most positive manner possible.

As I close, without being rushed, I want you to ponder the idea of being busy living. It's one of life's greatest gifts. Being busy with your heart on fire. Even in low moments, which we all experience, finding the things that bring you energy can be magical.

Have a great Sunday and speak with you all again soon.

Best,

Lawrence

Good Morning friends! There is something unusually familiar about my setting this morning as I write. It's the cusp of summer, the birds are singing and I'm writing uninterrupted with what feels like unlimited time. There is a beauty in being able to capture moments of your past and revisit them. You'll notice you feel differently now to how you did then. Positively and negatively. I think it's special to even spend a few seconds as you're past self and bask in it's glory. I was re-reading a...

Good Morning Friends! I hope you're well. We are on a 10-day streak of sunshine here in Glasgow, which I've never seen in 6 years of living here! People moan about it still being cold, but it is absolutely beautiful to absorb after a long, dark winter. Yes, it's true, there's sun in Scotland! I find myself growing branches from the idea of 'Living Fully'. We are heading into Spring I guess... I hope you enjoyed my piece about admiration last week, and I think the more I write and delve into...

Good Morning Friends, I trust you're well. As I write, the sky right now at 6:37am matches the colour in the SIP logo. I'm excited for the sun to begin rising sooner each day over the horizon of trees out the front of our house. It's a magical time of year that I always know I will look back on and remember fondly. As 2025 unfolds, I'm trusting the thoughts that surface through the precious writing time I have. 2025 seems to be the beginning of the musings of 'Living Fully' which has brought...
